An action-packed cruise in Tubbataha aboard S/Y Philippine Siren
Our crew on S/Y Philippine Siren were delighted to report lots of pelagic action in Tubbataha this 2019 season. On one of the most recent trips, our guests were treated to some incredible diving with up to 11 different whale sharks throughout the trip. The dive groups were spotting whale sharks on almost every dive; sometimes even more than one per dive!
The hard coral formations and the variety of dive sites in this beautiful marine park are simply stunning. The well-known dive sites of Shark Airport and Washing Machine delivered particularly well this trip: highlights included silvertip sharks, eagle rays, sting rays and many, many turtles.
We took everyone out on the dinghies to Bird Islet to have a closer look at the seabirds. On the way, we were accompanied by sting rays and turtles. On the last dive of the trip, a whale shark swam along with our dive groups for 20 minutes, making for a fabulous ending to a fantastic liveaboard holiday.
