Diving Komodo is always a blast!
The Indo Siren welcomed on board a group from Equator diving. So it was really nice to say hello again. On the first day we had plenty of time to get settled and sorted.
The first day of diving we started in Bima Bay with Unusual Suspects where our guest had already some great encounters: Wonderpus, seahorses, rhinopias, harlequin shrimp and much more were our encounters. During lunch, the liveaboard dive trip continued to Sandeang, where we started with Black Sand and its colourful reefs.
In Komodo Island, our eyes glowed with the beautiful corals together with sharks, turtles, eagle rays Napoleon wrasses and giant trevallies. In the evening, we went to Gili Lawa Darat and climbed up the hill to enjoy the sunset with a view over the bays.
Current city was the plan for the next morning. At Makassar Reef and Batu Bolong we dived with many mantas and over 1000 anthias. In the afternoon, we visited Komodo Island to see the Komodo dragons and other wild life. The night dive offered a hand full of amazing creatures and everybody were happily chatting about that day during dinner.
More mantas were schedules for the next morning at Manta Alley! We counted more than 20 manta rays! After such a underwater show, we moved the Indo Siren liveaboard to Nusa Kode in the south of Rinca Island. Cannibal Rock and Cannibal Bay were as stunning as always with a lot of creatures, corals and millions of colors.
Next day we spent all day long in Nusa Kode enjoying the reefs with yellow and white sea cucumbers, sea apples, coleman shrimps, zebra crabs and probably the smallest are the lady bugs with 3 mm size. During the day we enjoyed watching Komodo Dragon, sea eagles, dears and monkeys.
At Padar island, we dive at Secret Garden: 5 giant frogfish (black, orange, white, grey), white leaf scorpion fish and flamboyant cuttlefish were just some specials of that dive. After that Tatawa Besar was on the list with an amazing drift dive. For the afternoon and night dive we went to Sebayur Kecil for leaf scorpion fish, Spanish dancers and other creatures.
Back to Current city, we dived at Siaba Kecil , Batu Bolong and Golden Passage where we had some pretty nice drift dives! Sharks, mantas, turtles, giant moray eels, a ribbon eel and much more were on the menu today! For the night dive, we chose Darat Bay which was much more relaxing!
Our last full day of diving was in Gili Lawa Laut and North Komodo. At Crystal Rock and Castle Rock, we encountered sharks, eagle ray, giant trevallies, big eye jacks, just to mention a few! After lunch, we went to Big Nose and Coral Garden where we finished our day with pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, ribbon eel and beautiful wall drift dive.

On the way to Bima Bay, we stopped at Sangeang Island to dive Deep Purple and Hot Rocks to enjoy once again the beauty of black sand diving contrasting with the beauty of the sea creatures we encountered! Seahorses, pink leaf fish and thousands of nudibranchs.
Thank you every one for sharing with us this incredible liveaboard dive trip in Komodo! It wouldn’t have been the same without you! We hope to see you soon on board!
